Gyrokinesis
The Gyrokinesis method is a movement method that gently works the entire body, opening energy pathways, stimulating the nervous system, increasing range of motion, and creating functional strength through rhythmic, flowing movement sequences.
The system’s unique movement signature is three-dimensional, spiraling and undulating exercises in a set rhythm, coupled with calming breathing patterns. Another main principle is one of simultaneously reaching in opposite directions, creating both internal balance and support. Through the constant ebb-and-flow and push-and-pull of the movements, connective tissue maintains their suppleness.
Fluid motion
Movement exercises are connected not held and therefore feel like dancing or swimming.
Elongate the spine
Open up space in the joints by narrowing the pelvis and elongating the spine.
Increase mobility and flexibility
Regular practice fosters increased mobility, assists the body’s regenerative capacity and opens energy pathways, increasing blood flow and oxygenation.
